About My Artwork
I have always, as long as I can remember, enjoyed creating art; drawing in particular. But I have not, in the past, taken the time to intentionally develop this talent. Then God started giving me images of pieces to create. For the longest time, I felt I wasn’t good enough at art to create these pieces, so I put off making them. I’m good at interpreting what I see; creating something original is a different animal altogether, at least in my mind. Then a friend gently suggested that if God had given me specific pieces to make, I had a responsibility to be obedient and make them.
I still haven’t. But what she said did change my mindset to where I now see each new drawing as a learning experience for the images He asked me to create. As such, much of what you see displayed here is practice pieces, though some were created for fun. None of them are for sale at the moment, though I am open to commission work.
Portraits
People are interesting and beautiful. These digital portraits – hand-drawn, not photoshopped nor AI assisted – show my interests (K-drama and BTS) and act as practice for future images. I didn’t want to practice on people I knew who might be offended if the picture turned out badly, so I chose images of people I will never meet and will likely never see what I’ve drawn, and therefore won’t get offended. Ha!
I have now completed one commission for a portrait and am open to doing more.

Why Dragons?
Honestly, because I like them. My favorite animated movie, hands down, is “How to Train Your Dragon.” If I could have Toothless as a pet, I would.
Several years ago, a friend of mine started a t-shirt business. They were looking for original drawings that didn’t require licensing. I can’t remember how we got to dragons, but I created several images for their use. These are the dragons you see here.

The wall was made of jasper, and the city itself of pure gold, as pure as glass. The foundations of the city walls were adorned with every kind of precious stone: The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, the fifth sardonyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.

Color
Being most comfortable with pencil and charcoal drawing, I didn’t do much with color. But there are multiple pieces God gave me that require color. So I started practicing.
The watercolor images are from kits that come with the image, the paints, the canvas, and a video link that takes you step-by-step through the painting process. I highly recommend Let’s Make Art!
